My research focuses on social movements, civil society, and new media studies. Current projects cover the internet and civil society in China, the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and China's emerging environmental movement. Here are my bio, cv, a list of publications, and information about my forthcoming book on The Power of the Internet in China. My courses in Fall 2008 are First-Year Seminar: Revolutionary Movements and Contemporary Chinese Culture and Society.
