Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader

This is sooo easy. The first thing you need to do is go to the Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com) and download the setup file that will install the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. When you get there (by clicking on the Reader icon below) you will find instructions on how to download the file to your computer. You'll see steps 1, 2, 3. The first is registering yourself with Adobe. Fill in the info and click on the submit button on the bottom of the form. At the next page scroll down to the boxes where you can choose language, operating system, and the Reader. Then scroll down further and you'll see a gray download button. Click on the download button. On the next page, about a third of the way down, you'll see bright red links that say something like "Download ar16e301.exe from USA" or
"Download ar16e301.exe from Japan". The ".exe" file will set up the Reader on your machine once it's saved to your hard drive and you open it. Note: remember where on your computer you've downloaded the .exe/setup file! Once the file has been saved to your computer, which should not take too long but don't worry if it takes a while, find the file and open it. The Reader will install itself on your computer and work as a plug-in with your web browser (plug-in: piece of software that works with another piece of software : Reader works with Netscape / Internet Explorer). After the Reader is installed, anytime you open an Adobe Acrobat file the Reader will simply launch itself and open the file you want to read. One last thing, Acrobat files have the file extension " .pdf ".

Besides just reading the .pdf file where you've opened it, say in Lehman, you may also print it and/or save it to a floppy disk. Also, for easier reading, you can enlarge the appearance of the .pdf file when you open it. For instructions on this stuff, click here:  Using Adobe Acrobat Reader
